Brighid began her acting career at 3 years old when her mother took her to see "Seussical the Musical". After the show, she was asked if she would like to meet the Cat in the Hat. She thought about it and replied, "No, I want to be the Cat in the Hat. How do you get up there?"
After a couple of years on the local Albuquerque theatre circuit, Brighid landed an international modeling job with LaCoste. From there, she began picking up small parts in films that were shooting in NM. Now, she is in LA, pursuing her dream. At the tender age of 8, she has more films under her belt than she has years.
In 2007 alone, she did three features, three shorts, and a music video. She played the lead, Sage, in HEARTS OF DESIRE, which premiered at the Santa Fe Film Festival in late November. She had a supporting role in the Lion's Gate feature, THE BURROWERS, directed by JT Petty. She also landed a supporting role in Lakeshore Entertainment's GAME, directed by Mark Neveldine and Brian Taylor of CRANK fame. Delia is the daughter of Gerard Butler's character, Kable, so she has some nice scenes with him. She also had some screen time with Michael C. Hall and Amber Valletta.
Brighid also played the role of Mouse in THE DIFFERENT WORLD, a short put out by Chapman University and directed by Christian Guzeck. She portrayed the pivital character of Shanda Sedgewick in the RFG short, SACRIFICE ANYTHING. This project was the brain child of Rand Vossler, co-producer of NATURAL BORN KILLERS, and Ross Grogan. In a lighter vein, but not too light, she had a principal role in a music video for Brett Dennen, one of Rolling Stone magazine's top ten rising new stars to watch. She got to show off her ability to do dialects as a southern girl in the LMU graduate film, THE PICKERELL KIDS.
In 2008, Brighid watched as HEARTS OF DESIRE won Best Short Film at the Garden State Film Festival in Asford Park, NJ. Deborah Dozier Potter, a former member of the Kennedy Center's President's Advisory Council for the Arts and the daughter of Joan Fontaine and niece of Olivia deHavilland, called Brighid's performance extraordinary. This proved to be a big year for Brighid on the festival circuit as she completed a short produced by Liberty Mutual and RSA pictures, FATHER'S DAY, directed by Laurence Dunmore (THE LIBERTINE). FATHER'S DAY grew out of Dunmore's previous work with Liberty Mutual on the high concept "pay it forward" commercial campaign. In August of 2008 alone this film aired at two festivals, Rhode Island International Film Festival and The Los Angeles Shorts Fest, which is one of the "big three" for shorts festivals. FATHER'S DAY is available for viewing at the Liberty Mutual website.
THE BURROWERS, the feature Brighid made for JT Petty, had its World Premiere in September of 2008 at the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF). Then, later that month, Brighid got to meet up with Petty again for their film's USA premiere in Austin, Texas at the Fantastic Fest. In October, The Burrowers made it out to the west coast for the Screamfest in Hollywood. She also starred in a short film, STRAY, for USC director Jerome Berglund, which made it to two festivals, the Art Institute of Boston at the Short Attention Span Digital Video Festival (SASDVF) and at the San Luis Obispo International Film Festival.
Brighid booked the main lead in UCLA director Vanessa Rojas film, AFTER THE SHEARING, for the AARP Divided We Fail campaign. Curtis Hansen, director/producer of such films as IN HER SHOES and LA CONFIDENTIAL, commented on Brighid's performance saying that it was subtle and beautifully done.
2008 and Sears brought Brighid's first national commercial. She worked with Ty Pennington and a leaf blower. Brighid appeared in Criminal Minds around the same time and got kidnapped by Jason Alexander. This episode was directed by Paul Michael Glaser and she really enjoyed working with both Starsky and George Castanza.
The rest of this bio is still undercontruction....she's keeping me pretty busy!
Already, 2009 promises to be a busy year for Brighid.
Brighid is managed by Myrna Lieberman Management.
